Will | Will March 10, 1634 (0 after death)Robert Depledge of Barghe within the dioces of Yorke husbandman upon the tenth day of March Anno dm One thousand six hundred thirty and three did make his will nuncuppative in manner and forme followinge (vizt) first I give and bequeath unto my beloved wife Elizabeth Depledge and my sonne Francis Depledge jointly together all my goodwill title and interest of all that my farme called Barghe hall situate lyeinge and beinge in Barghe aforesaid in the parish of Darton untill my said sonne Francis doe accomplish the age of twenty and one years and soe longe after as they cann agree and if my said wife and sonne cannot agree to occupy and enioy the said farme together then my will and desier is that the said farme be equally divided betweene them and either of them to enioy a moyety of the said farme they either of them payinge and giveinge contentment to the word thereof and payinge all other dutyes accordingly: Item my will and desier is that if my said wife chance to die shortly that then all my goodwill title and interest of that moyety of the the said farme shal be to the use benefitt and behoofe of my younger children dureinge the time of their minority (except before excepted) and after to my sonne Francis Depledge; Item I give and bequeath unto my wife Elizabeth Depledge if she continue in my name the benefitt of all my goodes my funeral charges paid for the maintenance and education of my younger children; and my will and minde is that if my said wife fortune to marrye then she to have and enioy but onely a fouerth part of my goods and they other three parts to goe to the benefit of my said younger children every one of them an equal portion as they shall accomplish their severall and lawfull ages or be married; and my will is if my wife marrye not; yett she to pay portions out of my goodes unto my younger children in manner and forme aforesaid In witnes whereof wee have hereunto putt our hands the day and year aforesaid Thomas Cudworth Christofer ??penden {final two lines in latin?} |
